Although at Brock House Restaurant we are known for our Garden Tent and North Lawn, did you know that Brock House Restaurant also hosts more intimate weddings as well? If you are searching for a more intimate space to host your wedding, our beautiful Second Floor, West Lawn, and Private Terrace may be the perfect setting for you!

With beautiful ocean views, colourful garden, and private location, the West Lawn offers the perfect setting for your ceremony. After your ceremony, take a short walk up to the Second Floor and enjoy the romantic setting offered by our beautiful Heritage Home. This space offers seating for up to 50 guests and a private terrace for mingling throughout the afternoon or evening.

Bright Colours at Brock House!

Wow – where does the time go? It seems like only yesterday that we were wrapping up wedding season 2009, and now, we are in the middle of wedding season 2010!

On Friday, June 18th Lisa and Kyle said their “I do’s” at Brock House Restaurant on the North Lawn witnessed by their friends and family. From the get go Lisa and Kyle were great to work with. Their love for each other and smiling faces made for a great wedding day, and… for some fantastic photos!

The décor and flowers provided by Halfyard Designs were a great splash of color and were captured by the very talented Barbara Casey of “I DO!” Wedding Photography. 

We would like to thank Lisa and Kyle for hosting their ceremony and reception with us. We hope to see you again in the future.

P.S – you were right, avocado on pizza is amazing!



May Showers bring June Flowers?

There is an old wives tale that says “rain on your wedding day is not a curse, it will only make the knot tighter”, and living in Vancouver…we live by this tale more than 50% of the time.

With that being said, during the afternoon of May 29th, 2010, a very special couple tied their tight knot here at Brock House Restaurant. Kimberley Foley & Shane Mangal’s intimate wedding took place on the Second Floor of the Restaurant surrounded by their close friends and family. Although the weather did not fully cooperate, plan B kicked into gear and they were able to walk down the aisle, rain or shine. We would like to thank this wonderful couple for hosting their wedding with us. Kim, you were amazing to work with and we can’t say enough how beautiful you look in your wedding gown. We hope that you will keep in touch!

Shane and I are finally settling back into "real life" after the wedding and honeymoon and I wanted to pass along a huge thank you from both of us for helping to make our wedding day perfect.  The whole day was simple yet elegant which is exactly what I was looking for.  The food was absolutely delicious and people are still talking about it.  Everybody loved the venue as well.  I didn't get my wedding on the lawn like I had hoped because of the rain but you made everything work for us anyway and I have no regrets :)

Thanks again for making it all so easy from the planning to the execution to the big day itself.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Brock House to anybody else.

Wedding Season has officially started!

With our wedding season in full gear, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the past weddings and thank all of our beautiful Brides and Grooms from over the last few months, working with you and your families has been a pleasure. Your happiness, tears, laughter, and love are what keep adding character to the walls of our beautiful venue and we thank you for that.

The wedding season started off with a bang with Michelle & Steven's nuptials which took place on March 27, 2010. The planning was underway one year prior to the special day and working closely with Michelle and her amazing mother Bertine, the wedding day went off without a hitch!

Bertine's helpful guidance and dedication to her daughter and soon to be Son in Law helped make the planning experience a breeze! We especially love the quote, as Bertine quoted, "instead of giving away a daughter, I would be taking a new son-in-law instead" from her personal newsletter which she so graciously shared with us.

We would also like to thank Michelle and Steven for allowing us to be part of their wedding day, we wish you all the best in your future together!

MCL Event

On October 22nd, 2009 a very special event was hosted at Brock House Restaurant. This event is now known to Brockers as the largest event ever hosted in the history of Brock House Restaurant!

MCL Motors first contacted Gail Bromell, Brock House Catering Manager, in August 2009 in hopes that we would be able to accommodate their VIP guests and help to showcase the beautiful new 2010 Porsche Panamera to eager Porsche fans. The opportunity to work with such an amazing company and be part of a very special launch was well received by the Catering Department and the planning was soon underway. Working together with MCL Motors amazing Marketing Director Bonnae Leong, Gail and the BH Catering team customized a fabulous gourmet cocktail menu and an elegant “lychee” signature cocktail to accommodate the 800+ guests which attended the event. The exquisite cars were parked around the grounds and under the beautiful garden tent overlooking the Ocean and North Shore Mountains making for the most perfect backdrop imaginable.

We would like to thank MCL Motors for hosting their event with us and all the attending guests who helped to make this event a huge success! We hope that you will visit Brock House Restaurant again and look forward to working with MCL Motors to plan another event in the near future.

On October 18th, 2009 Brock House Restaurant hosted the 19th annual Brock House Wedding Show. Completely selling out, the show catered to brides and grooms of all styles. An array of gourmet hors d’ oeuvres , delicious Peller Estates wine and an amazing selection of informative (and fun!) wedding vendors throughout the house made for a memorable day for all of the attending guests. We would like to thank all of those whom attended and DreamGroup Productions for pulling off the most amazing Wedding Show to date!
